MARCH 2023
For the Drag Show, Fashion for Philanthropy’s biggest event of the year, I meticulously crafted an array of promotional materials, insuring that they were as accurate and readable as they were visually pleasing. Channeling vintage poster design, I curated two distinct fliers with a pink and green palette, each tailored for a specific purpose: to ask for student involvement in the drag show and to display dazzling lineup of performing queens. To create excitement and anticipation, I designed engaging “sizzle reels” for each performer, adhering closely to the established brand identity of the drag show. These reels served as a countdown on Instagram, elevating visibility and buzz surrounding the event.
I also designed a backdrop to set the stage for the show, adding a glitch effect to make it visually intriguing. For the final promotional design for the event, I created a virtual flipbook in After Effects. This immersive recap featured snapshots of the crowd, performances, and other moments, ensuring that the magic of the event lived on in digital form. Through a fusion of creativity and technical expertise, these multifaceted elements converged to elevate the event's impact and leave a lasting impression on attendees and online audiences alike.
